The Brotherhood Delivers: Entire Duke Starting Five Drafted in 2025 NBA Draft 🤯

It’s a moment that will live forever in the legacy of Duke Basketball every single member of the 2024-25 starting five is officially headed to the NBA. The 2025 NBA Draft was a celebration of dominance, development, and Duke’s deep-rooted culture of excellence.

From lottery picks to second-round steals, the Blue Devils made history as five teammates from the same starting lineup were all selected across both rounds — an extremely rare feat in college basketball and a resounding statement from Jon Scheyer’s program.

Here’s the full breakdown:

🔵 Round 1, Pick 4 – Kon Knueppel

The silky-smooth 6’6” guard-forward out of Wisconsin proved his worth all season, showcasing elite shooting touch, high IQ, and the ability to impact the game on both ends. Knueppel is NBA-ready and lands with the Charlotte Hornets  a franchise desperate for spacing, skill, and toughness on the wing. The Hornets got a future star.

🔵 Round 1, Pick 10 – Khaman Maluach

The 7’2” center from South Sudan stole the spotlight with his emotional draft night moment. From refugee camps to first-round glory, Maluach’s story is already inspiring the basketball world. He heads to Phoenix after his rights were acquired in a blockbuster trade. Elite shot-blocker. Emerging offensive game. Sky-high potential.

🔵 Round 2, Pick 33 – Sion James

One of the most versatile defenders in college basketball, James was the glue guy all year for the Blue Devils. Tough, vocal, and unafraid of big moments, he’s the kind of player every NBA team covets. Drafted by a team that knows how to develop winning role players, James could be a huge second-round steal.

🔵 Round 2, Pick 49 – Tyrese Proctor

The crafty Aussie point guard, known for his poise and pick-and-roll precision, overcame a rocky start to become a leader for Duke this past season. His stock may have dipped due to injuries, but scouts know his game will translate. Proctor is one of the best passers in this class and could thrive in the right system.

🤯 One Team, Five Picks — A Historic Blueprint

With all five starters selected, Duke becomes one of the only programs in modern history to see an entire starting unit drafted in a single year. It’s a testament to the program’s player development, competitive environment, and the trust NBA franchises place in “The Brotherhood.”

Head coach Jon Scheyer now boasts six first-round picks in just three seasons  already surpassing the total of Coach K’s final three years. The torch has not only been passed  it’s been ignited.

This draft wasn’t just a win for Duke it was a masterclass in what elite college basketball looks like in the modern era.

The Brotherhood is strong. The league just got Blue.
