No position in sports is more important than the QB position in football. Despite all the talk of football being the “ultimate team sport” we all know teams live and die by their quarterback play. For that reason, we ranked all the quarterbacks the Raiders play this season.
14. Cleveland carousel
When: Week 12
If you have as many QB options as the Browns have, you actually have none. They head into this offseason choosing between 40-year-old journeyman Joe Flacco, washed up headache Deshaun Watson and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
13. Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
When: Week 5
Raiders schedule 2025: Study the Las Vegas Raiders week-by-week schedule with times, TV and more.
He completed just 47.7 percent of his passes last season. And it was his second season in the league, which is a very bad sign. His competition is fist round bust Daniel Jones.
12. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
When: Week 17
Dart was the second quarterback taken in this year’s draft…at 25 overall. So, yeah, it was a weak QB class to say the least. I wouldn’t expect too much success right away.
11. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
When: Week 9
Lawrence has always tantalized with his arm talent, but outside of his 2022 season, he hasn’t really lived up to it. Maybe Travis Hunter will help with that. Either way, he has a lot to prove in terms of consistency and ability to be a difference-maker in Jacksonville.
10. Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans
When: Week 6
It may have been a weak QB class, but Ward was the unquestioned best in it and was pegged as the number one overall pick for months.
9. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
When: Week 4
The former number one overall pick who was taken in a very strong class. Williams had a rough rookie season, but there’s every reason to believe he will take big step up in year two.
8. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Maye had a solid rookie campaign in 2024. He took over four weeks into the season and completed 66.6 percent of his passes while throwing 15 TDs to 10 INT. Not exceptional, but something to build upon.
When: Week 1
7. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
When: Week 10 and 14
The last of the first round QBs taken in 2024. Nix started every game, throwing for 27 touchdowns and leading the Broncos to the playoffs. As if the Raiders needed another top flight QB in their division.
6. Dak Pescott, Dallas Cowboys
When: Week 11
He is coming off an injury shortened season, but his 2023 season was absolutely elite. He threw for 4516 yards and 36 touchdowns.
5. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans
When: Week 16
The 2023 NFL Rookie of the Year has led the Texans to two trips to the playoffs and two playoff wins.
4. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
When: Week 2 and Week 13
Herbert has been considered one of the NFL top ten passers since he entered the league in 2020 as the draft’s sixth overall pick. And with Harbaugh as his coach now, he is coming off his best season in terms of passer rating (101.7).
3. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
When: Week 15
The dual threat QB just led the Eagles to a Super Bowl championship.
2. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
When: Week 7 and Week 18
Mahomes was on the losing end of that Super Bowl. But his three Super Bowl rings kinda speak for themselves. He’s at very least in the conversation for the league’s top QB until further notice.
1. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
When: Week 3
The reigning Rookie of the Year is absolutely electric and took the league by storm. Not only did he pass for nearly 4400 yards and 30 touchdowns, but he ran for 891 yards and six more touchdowns.
